Supercell ID Account Protection safeguards your game accounts. It can be used to recover your account if you get locked out of your SC ID email by:
Allowing SMS verification codes to be sent to you by Support
Generating Recovery Codes
To enable your Account Protection in-game:
Go to Settings
Choose ‘Supercell ID’
Tap the Settings cogwheel
Under ‘Account Protection’ tap ‘Activate’ and follow the on-screen instructions
Disabling Account Protection is not possible through Settings or support. This way, the feature always protects the account's owner, no matter what.
You can change your phone number and regenerate codes anytime in Supercell ID Settings.
You can reset Account Protection anytime in the Supercell ID Settings by going to ‘Account Protection’ and tapping ‘Reset’. This allows you to change your linked phone number and generate new Recovery Codes.
Recovery Codes can be used when contacting Support to recover or change the email associated with your account. They help prove that you are the true owner.
Recovery Codes will be generated for you when you activate Account Protection. It is important that you store your codes somewhere safe that you can access if you need them. If you use or lose access to your Recovery Codes, new ones can be generated a limited number of times from the in-game Supercell ID menu. Please know that creating new Recovery Codes will make old codes unusable.
SMS verification codes can be used instead of Recovery Codes to prove that you own a particular account. You will need to provide a phone number to receive SMS verification codes. The same phone number can be used for multiple Supercell ID accounts.
Never share verification or Recovery Codes with people other than Supercell Support. This could make you vulnerable to people trying to access your account.
Not receiving verification codes?
If your contact details are correct, but you’re still not receiving verification codes, Account Protection may be disabled for your account.
Account Protection is not available for accounts that we have deemed non secure. The feature may be disabled for a period of time if this is the case (if not permanently disabled).
If you’re having issues enabling Account Protection, it might not be available for your account. Account Protection is not available for:
Young Player accounts
Accounts with unusual activity
If unusual activity has been detected on your account, Account Protection may become available to you at a later time, so keep trying!
Location Restrictions
Account Protection is also not available in countries where Supercell has ceased operations. These include:
Belarus (BY)
Russia (RU)
China (CN)
Iran (IR)
Vietnam (VN)
Cuba (CU)
North Korea (KP)
You can change the phone number used for Account Protection at any time. This will generate new Recovery Codes, rendering old ones invalid.
Generating Recovery Codes will require you to enter a verification code sent to your Supercell ID’s email address. This will also render old codes invalid.
