Supercell games are for everyone! That’s why, to protect our younger audience, there are different features for players under the age of 16.
If you’re a Young Player, but want the standard experience, don’t worry! The age you provided on your account will update every year on its creation date. Your account will be changed to a standard account as soon as its age reaches 16.
Being a Young Player does not affect your gameplay in any way. However, there will be some differences in game features and how your data is processed when you’re a Young Player.
Some of these differences affect all games:
Personalized offers and ads are not available.
Young players can only view, join, and be invited to Clubs, Clans, Chat Groups, Neighborhoods, and Task Forces that are labelled as Family Friendly.
Chat filters are stricter, to avoid vulgar language or personal information from being shared.
Other differences are game-specific:
Brawl Stars: Young Players cannot submit maps to the Competition slot.
Hay Day: Inbox is not available.
Young Players can still enjoy all the benefits of Supercell ID! All you need is a trusted adult to provide their email address when creating the account.
I Was Asked To Verify My Trusted Adult’s Email, What Do I Do?
It’s important that we know your age so you can have the best and most appropriate experience in our games. Recently, we asked players to set their age if they hadn't done it already.
If you entered an age under 16 and your account is connected to Supercell ID, you’ll need to confirm that the email linked to your Supercell ID belongs to a trusted adult.
If the email belongs to a trusted adult, tap ‘Yes, that’s my trusted adult’.
If the email belongs to you or someone else, tap ‘That’s not my trusted adult’. You’ll be asked to enter a new email address, and your Supercell ID will be transferred there. Please make sure your trusted adult has access to the email address before doing this, as we’ll need to send a verification code to confirm the change.
If you don’t want to complete the confirmation immediately, you can do it another time from the in-game Supercell ID menu.
However, until you confirm your trusted adult’s email, you’ll be prevented from logging in to Supercell ID services elsewhere. This means you won’t be able to load your game progress on other devices or log in to Supercell ID on the web.
Young Players cannot enable Account Protection on their Supercell ID. Account Protection can only be applied to standard accounts.
If you’re under 16 years of age and are unhappy with the Young Player experience, we ask you to please be patient and wait until your account turns 16 years of age in order to get the standard experience.
Please note! Support cannot increase the age of your account.
These game features are in place to ensure a safe experience for our players and abide by the law.
